Originally a gradually expanded townhouse, radically rebuilt at the beginning of the 17th century by Zikmund Smiřický. After a violent gunpowder explosion, the chateau was repaired in 1620 by Albrecht of Valdštejn, and is now a museum and gallery.
The Salon of the Three Emperors is of particular interest, installed in the context of the numerous visit of leaders of the Alliance against Napoleon.
